Probiotic bacteria

Probiotic bacteria

Probiotic bacteria are important in assisting the maintaining of a digestive system equilibrium. In combination with prebiotics, which promote the growth of and nourish probiotics, they are capable of managing a good balance of the intestinal microflora which is sometimes affected by the presence of extraneous substances in human organism, by preservatives, or by our poor dining habits. Probiotic cultures are based primarily on the milk bacteria of the genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Most fermented milk products are a classical example. They are used mostly during and after the taking of antibiotic preparations when the digestive tract needs to be put back in harmony and “gently touched”.
