Apricots are among the healthiest fruits in general. Only few people know that it is the apricot kernels, which contain Laetrile, also called vitamin B17, are the most valuable apricot component. The importance of apricot seeds has come to the fore thanks to an Edward Griffin’s book a translated version of which can be bought also on the Czech market. Apricot seeds are commonly used by the Hunza people, a tribe living in an area between western Pakistan, India and China. They press oil from apricot kernels for both interior and exterior uses. The Hunza people also eat a lot of vegetables, buckwheat, millet, alfalfa seeds and legume sprouts. A team of doctors made its way to those remote corners of the world and the renowned British surgeon Robert McCarrison published an article about the effects of apricot seeds in 1922. Afterwards, medical teams from the surrounding world reported, after visiting that venue, an absence of any common civilisation diseases among the Hunzas.
